Let’s be honest, I run on caffeine. Can’t open my eyes in the morning without it. While I usually make my own at home in the mornings, I love to treat myself to a cup when I’m out in the city every now and then. And, one of my favorite things to do when I’m traveling is to seek out cute little coffee shops to get my caffeine fix.
Coffee culture hasn’t fully arrived in Geneva, but I have noticed new places popping up in the last few years! With everything being so expensive in Switzerland, I want to steer you towards some of my favorite shops so you can get your money’s worth… Good coffee, friendly baristas, and nice ambience. And so you don’t need to resort to caffeinating at the Starbucks in Gare Cornavin!
If you’re visiting for the first time, be sure to also check out my guide on where to eat in Geneva.
1. Boréal
The best in Geneva (in my opinion) – specialty coffee with your choice of brewing technique. Multiple locations, but I frequent the shop at the address below.

3. Coutume
80 Boulevard Carl Vogt, 1205 Genève
4. Luma
Rue des Eaux-Vives 8, 1207 Genève
Where’s your favorite coffee shop in Geneva? Let me know in the comments… I am always on the lookout for new places!
